Xtreme No – Does Xtreme NO Really Work? Read This Honest, Independent Review

Xtreme NoI was looking around for information about Xtreme NO, trying to find honest reviews in order to learn more about the product and decide whether or not to purchase Xtreme NO.  What I found was a bunch of sales pitches that did not offer one bit of objective info.  Most reviews were shallow at best and several even said to take Xtreme NO without working out to get a perfect body.  That particular site even came with before and after pictures!  So here is my effort at reviewing Xtreme NO.

Xtreme NO – My Review of Xtreme NO

I will go through the Xtreme NO site and pick out a few of the claims that they make.  Using all available information, I will try to determine objectively whether the claims are real or just Hype!

Claim #1  Xtreme NO claims to be different from other Nitric Oxide supplement because of its “Day Long Perpetual Release” capabilities.

This perpetual release, slowly releases the Amino acid stack that turns into NO.  This release occurs throughout the day and makes Xtreme NO superior to other products that only provide a one time “dump” of NO to the body.  This is claimed to give bodybuilders and athletes a ”perpetual pump”

Let’s look at the concept of perpetual pump first.  A pump is that post workout time when your muscles are swollen and rock hard.  They are completely blood engorged and give you that awesome physique that you work so hard at achieving.

The problem is that the post-workout state is very short and your muscles will return to normal in a short time later.  Xtreme NO claims to help you maintain that rock hard pump all day.  Again this is achieved by helping your body produce NO throughout the day rather than in one shot like Xtreme NO’s competitors do.

I researched this technology and found that it is called CRT (controlled Release Technology) and Xtreme NO claimed to have it but nowhere did the Xtreme no site explain how this is achieved.  I researched all the ingredients that are in small print on the website and I found that Xtreme NO contains Hypromellose.  A quick search on the net revealed that this compound is indeed used for controlled delivery in oral supplements.  Bingo!

So on claim#1 I can say that looking at the ingredients list (the ingredients in very small print) I was able to find the compound that allows for controlled release of the Amino Stack.  This property was verified by going to Wikipedia so I did not only rely on the Xtreme NO website.  So Xtreme NO Does have the capability of giving you that perpetual pump that will keep your body rock hard for an extended period of time.

Claim #2  Xtreme NO claims to increase muscularity and recovery.

The ingredients in Xtreme NO are a stack of amino acids called L-arginine hydrochloride, L-arginine alpha-ketoglutarate and L-arginine ketolsocaproate.  These are well known to help the body produce Nitric Oxide (NO).  Studies have indeed shown that NO has vasodilator properties that will allow more blood flow to the muscles.  This increased blood flow brings in more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles allowing them to grow and to recover.  At this point, I believe that the benefits of Nitric Oxide produced by Xtreme NO are well accepted by many in the bodybuilder and athletic community.

The study that is mentioned in Xtreme NO is not referenced but a quick search online shows several such studies taking place and others that have been completed already.

These claims are followed by an asterix on the Xtreme NO website.  This indicates that the claims are not been evaluated by the FDA but I feel there is enough “Social proof” to validate this claim.

So on Claim #2, I concur that Xtreme NO will promote fast muscle growth and recovery.

Claim #3.  This is not so much a claim but it relates to their Free Trial Offer.

This is where I get pretty upset with the so called Xtreme NO reviews that I came across.  It is obvious that the only purpose of these reviews is to get you, the consumer, to get a free bottle by filling in your info and paying a minimal Shipping and Handling Fee.   But they do not tell you the whole story.

Here is the deal.  If you want to try Xtreme NO, you will get a “Free” bottle by filling out your info.  What is not clear and what you are NOT told is that 14 days after you receive your free bottle, Xtreme NO will charge your card $79.00 and enroll you in their auto-shipment program which will automatically send you a bottle of Xtreme NO every 30 days for $29.97.

Now if you intend on using Xtreme NO for a while, this is a good deal because the price of each bottle is around $30. Xtreme NO sells for around $50 a bottle if you choose to buy it from other retailers.

If you have been tricked by this Free Offer or if you still want to get your free trial and only pay shipping and handling, make sure you call 1-877-374-0182 within 14 days from the day you ordered and you will only pay the S&H.  Remember, you have to call Xtreme NO before 14 days after you ordered the product.

Again, I am not a big fan of this marketing strategy but if you intend on using Xtreme NO for a few months it is definitely cost effective.  If not, just cancel before 14 days and you will get your trial offer

By the way, the links you see on this review ARE NOT this type of links.  If you choose to purchase through this site, after you fill in your info on the offer page (which unfortunately mentions a Free Bottle Offer) you will be offered 3 packages.  One for a one month supply at $49.99, one for 3 months at $99.00 and one for 6 Months for $149.00.  The offer for $149.00 includes an automatic billing but the other two offers are one time only purchases with NO recurring billing.

This has been a very long review and I apologize for that.  From looking at the site and doing some research, I believe that Xtreme NO is a great product that delivers what it promises.  It is the latest generation of muscle building supplements and enjoys many followers.  That is enough proof that it works.  If you order Xtreme NO, you will receive a bottle with 90 capsules which is a 30 day supply.  You will also receive access to a private training and nutrition plan that will accelerate the effects of Xtreme NO.

Good Luck to you.  I hope you have found my review helpful and that it has helped you make a more informed decision on whether or not to purchase Xtreme NO.

Xtreme NO – Are There Any Side Effects to taking Xtreme NO?

Xtreme NO is a supplement that helps the body produce Nitric Oxide.  When you read reviews for Xtreme NO around the web, you will notice that most of the sites claim that Xtreme NO has no side effects.  The truth is that even though Xtreme NO has naturally occurring ingredients, it does not mean that it carries no side effects.

Xtreme No as a Vasodilator

Before taking Xtreme NO, or any other supplement for that matter, I highly suggest that you check with your Doctor beforehand.  I am no Doctor so this is not medical advice.  Having said all that, we discussed the way Nitric Oxide works after taking Xtreme NO Link to prior Post).  Basically, it works as a vasodilator, increasing blood flow to the muscles.  By dilating the blood vessels, blood pressure is lowered.  This makes perfect sense even to one that is not a Doctor.

Xtreme NO and Blood Pressure

Now if you suffer from high blood pressure and you are already on pressure lowering meds, or if you suffer from already low blood pressure, Xtreme NO might be very dangerous to your health.  As stated above, you should always consult a Doctor before taking any supplements like Xtreme NO.  But if you have blood pressure issues, you should DEFINITELY check first.

The other thing that I saw in the Extreme NO reviews s the dosage recommendations.  The bottle of Xtreme NO recommends 3 pills around 30 minutes before exercise.  The correct dosage for NO has not been determined by researchers that I could find.  It is probably wiser to “step” up your consumption to see how your body will react to Xtreme NO.  Start with one pill for a few days, then ramp up to 2 then eventually to the recommended 3 pills of Xtreme NO.  Monitor the way your body feels as you step up to the recommended dosage.

Xtreme NO – What you Should Know

It is also important to know that overdosing on NO, can have some bad consequence like diarrhea, vomiting, asthma as well as other unpleasant symptoms

While all reviews for Xtreme NO tell you that there are no side effects, I feel it is important to note the above caveats.  I am not saying that Xtreme NO is dangerous, what I am saying is that you need to be informed before purchasing any supplement.  Rarely is a supplement completely devoid of side effects.  Xtreme NO is no different.

Xtreme NO – Xtreme NO and Nitric Oxide

Xtreme No is one of the latest generation supplements that use the powers of Nitric Oxide to deliver what some claim to be extraordinary results for bodybuilders and athletes in general.  Xtreme NO is supplement that promotes the production of Nitric Oxide in the Body

How does Xtreme No and Nitric Oxide Help in Muscle Building?

Extreme NO helps to deliver Arginine to the body, which in turns allows the body to

produce Nitric Oxide.  Per Wikipedia, Nitric Oxide delivered through Xtreme NO is a chemical compound that is essential to the proper functioning of the body and plays a very important function role in biological processes.  From the fitness perspective, this compound is important in that it signals the inner lining surrounding muscles to relax which leads to vasodilation.  The vasodilation that you get from Xtreme No causes an increase in blood flow.

Xtreme NO – Why is It Important for athletes?

So how is this important to athletes and Bodybuilders?  Why take Xtreme NO in the first place?  The reason is that improved blood flow allows oxygen and nutrients to be delivered to the muscles allowing for better nutrition, faster recovery, and a near constant pump that cannot be achieved by exercise alone.

Xtreme No, and by extension, Nitric Oxide (NO) will allow the athlete to push through workouts and recover faster than without it.  The body only produces a little NO on its own.  Supplementing with Xtreme NO should provide the compound in more abundance allowing the beneficial effects to last longer.

Xtreme NO –Simulating High Altitude Training?

It is interesting to note that athletes that train at high altitude produce more NO than their counterparts at lower altitudes.  We also know that these athletes at high altitudes benefit greatly from training in this environment.  Xtreme NO will allow people that train at lower altitudes to produce much more NO than they normally would, giving them an edge, or at least making them on par with those that train high up.
